A jug of Wine, a Loaf of Bread—and Thou

These are words written by the Persian mathematician, astronomer and poet, Omar Khayyam (1048-1122) in a collection of quatrains - each one a meditation on the fleeting nature of life - encouraging the reader to enjoy life in the present moment and to seize the day: to live simply and to love fully.

Inspired by Khayyam most famous works; the Rubaiyat, this ruby(hat) was created with these modest needs, and the simplicity of what one needs to live a happy life, in mind - he doesn't need much; some wine, a full belly of bread and his love by his side.

This hat is 100% rabbit fur in a beautifully-rich, ruby-red and decorated simply with an open crown, hand-woven cotton ribbon, with a knotted, leather cord at its base and adorned with a bound feather quill - thirsty for ink and ready to pen your next verse.

In the 900+ years since Khayyam wrote this, with all advancements and follies of life, one thing has reamianed true; it is the simple pleasures in life to we really need to be happy.

This hat is made for the ones who appreciate the simple pleasures of life.
